Do I need to commit to a basket every week like a CSA?

No; order a basket order your basket week by week. If you would like to set up baskets for the entire season please contact us. We are happy to edit your standing order by the order deadline each week just send us an email: vicki@thefreshfoodmovement.com

 
 

Once I order a basket, will I find out what is going to be in it?

Yes. Prior to receiving your basket, we will let you know what is harvest at the What’s Cooking blog so that you can plan the rest of your food and meals for the week. We will also highlight a few items and share some recipe ideas here. Please keep in mind that there may be last-minute switches to items in the basket due to a farmer's ability to harvest a particular item due to weather. In these cases, we will always make a substitution to ensure you receive the full dollar amount in your basket.


Do I need to place an order online if I want food?

No. If you are not sure of your plans and don't want to commit to a basket, please come see us at one of our market locations to pick up a few items that meet your needs and wants!


Do you grow & raise the food yourself?

No. Our goal is to help farmers stay on their land and do what they do best, while we pick it up, move it, sort it, and sell it for them.


 
 

Will I get to choose what is in my basket of food?

You get to pick from a selection of baskets that aim to meet a variety of dietary wants and needs. We will always accommodate any allergies, but not preferences to particular items due to seasonality of crops.

Regarding the fresh produce, fruits & herbs that are in the baskets, we pick the best we can find depending on what our farmers tell us they are harvesting, in addition to rotating items to maintain variety for our weekly customers.

The bread, meats, cheeses, honey, & jams in the baskets rotate for the same reason.

 
 

Can I order A La Carte style?

Yes. For pick up, there is no minimum order.
For Delivery, there is a $50 minimum order for a la carte orders.

What is the cancelation policy?

Cancelation Policy for Residential Orders

Due to the highly perishable products that we deal with, we will apply the following fees for cancelation of any product after Noon on Saturday.

• $25 CANCELLATION FEE FOR $40 PRODUCTS
• $35 CANCELLATION FEE FOR $55 PRODUCTS
• $65 CANCELLATION FEE FOR $110 PRODUCTS
• MEAT SHARES - $20 CANCELLATION FEE FOR COMFORT CUTS, $35 CANCELLATION FEE FOR DINNER PARTY FEED, $75 CANCELLATION FEE FOR HOME CHEF, & $100 CANCELLATION FEE FOR FAMILY BOUNTY

If you placed an order and realize you can’t take the food yourself, we ask that you try to find a friend or neighbor that would like to take your basket of food. You will be charged full price for the product if you do not pick up your food as scheduled without any communication.
